Skillshot Media has announced that it has plans to launch a 47-acre esports hub in Uptown Atlanta, United States. The facility, when completed, is set to be the esports providers office in the area, and is aiming to be Atlanta's go-to location for esports events in the future. We're also told that the hub will include classrooms and will offer a space to train local students.

Set to be developed by Rubenstein Partners, the facility will be located in a 35,000 square-foot building that will be equipped with a massive LED screen to support live streaming, the hub is expected to be able to host 300-400 gamers.

As part of this plan, Skillshot has already named HyperX as the official peripheral partner for the hub, a deal that will see the technology brand outfitting the facility with the latest headsets, keyboards, mice, and microphones.

"With this partnership, Skillshot at Uptown becomes the Metro Atlanta hub for digital media, gaming, and esports," said Todd Harris, CEO of Skillshot Media. "The Rubenstein vision for Uptown as a high-tech and high energy mixed-use environment is a perfect match with Skillshot Media's aspiration to foster community engagement with gaming. The gaming industry, at $180 billion, is bigger than movies and North American sports combined. Skillshot and Uptown are now well-positioned to serve this massive and broad gaming ecosystem with support for student workforce training, professional esports teams, studio content and broadcasting, and hosting live gaming events."
