Motorsport Games has announced that rFactor 2 has been named as the official sim racing platform for Formula E. This news comes soon after current Formula E and former Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean signed with Motorsport to aid in the development of rFactor 2.

By becoming Formula E's official sim racing platform, Motorsport will be implementing all current drivers and teams into rFactor 2 to reflect the current Formula E season, and likewise will be adding each season of Formula E since 2018 as well so that fans can race on a variety of tracks from all around the world. This will come as part of a purchasable content pack for rFactor 2.

"Formula E is one of the fastest growing motorsports series and we couldn't be more excited and honored to bring it to life fully within rFactor 2," said Dmitry Kozko, CEO of Motorsport Games. "rFactor 2 continues to be the best-in-class simulation platform in the marketplace. This addition to its robust offering of motorsport series will greatly enhance the experience and offerings available to our players."

On top of this, the pair will also be working together on an esports series known as Accelerate, and Motorsport will be in charge of powering the Formula E Gaming Arena at race events going forward - all as part of the extended partnership between Motorsport and Formula E.
