Tony Hawk would love to see a Pro Skater League

Right now the focus is on his mobile game though, which also has an online competitive mode to get people involved.

We haven't seen Tony Hawk's Pro Skater for a while - at least not since the rather disastrous return with Pro Skater 5 - but it turns out that Tony Hawk at least wouldn't be opposed to seeing Pro Skater as an esports, according to a report from Front Office Sports.

When asked whether there would be room for a Pro Skater League, Hawk agreed, saying: "It would be great. It would be a blast. There's still hope."

The mobile game Skate Jam is his focus right now though, which has its own online competitions to let people compete. "We will have the competition mode, which gives it that online element. That's pretty exciting to me."

With Skate seemingly dead and buried and Tony Hawk games also lacking the same cultural relevance they once had, esports for skateboarding titles looks unlikely, unless other games like Skater XL and Session can support competitive gamers.
