Eleague signs new Psyonix deal for Rocket League content

Tournament brand Eleague has agreed on a partnership with Rocket League developer Psyonix that will see the two produce content together, following on from their recent deals that saw Eleague agree to host the Eleague Cup at the end of last year.

One of the big parts of this deal is Eleague's agreement to produce a feature series focusing on the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS), looking at the players and teams of upcoming Seasons 7 and 8. The partnership also lets Turner Sports' ad sales team represent all advertising and sponsorship across these two seasons.

What's more is that the NCAA Final Four Fan Fest competition presented by Capital One is also involved, as the top four teams from the Collegiate Rocket League (CRL) Spring Season will compete in an exhibition event during the Fan Fest between April 5 and 8 in Minneapolis.

"This is a unique, multi-faceted partnership with Eleague aligning with Psyonix to create compelling experiences for fans and work collaboratively to identify new strategic business opportunities," said Craig Barry, Chief Content Officer at Turner Sports. "We're excited to partner with them as we build on the success of the previous Eleague Cup: Rocket League events and launch new fan-friendly live experiences, including at this year's Final Four in Minneapolis."

Season 7 of the RLCS is just getting underway, so Rocket League fans have a lot to look forward to. Is this a good deal for both sides?
