CoD player faces backlash after backing out of Pro League qualifiers

Mazer Gaming's SupremeAgility claimed he was ill, which he also claimed at the CWL Las Vegas Open last month.

The Call of Duty World League (CWL) Pro League qualifier event is starting today and running until January 20, and it's the most important event for the teams attending as spots in the league are at stake. That's why fans and players have been upset with player Joey 'SupremeAgility' Torres after he backed out of competing at the event due to illness, as reported by Dot Esports.

SupremeAgility's team Mazer Gaming was left without another player as a result, and after the controversy began he deactivated his Twitter account. He had done the same thing at the CWL Las Vegas Open last December, which gave the top four teams an early chance to qualify for the Pro League, and so fans started questioning how sick he really was.

As revealed by Mazer yesterday on Twitter, the team did eventually end up getting a replacement player, but that hasn't stopped the community reacting negatively against SupremeAgility, including G2 Esports' Martin 'Chino' Chino, who said the following:

"Pathetic and honestly mind blowing that SupremeAgility is doing this again to another team. I'm currently sick but do you think I would ever leave my teammates out to dry on a life changing moment? These are chances you can't miss out on and he should be in trouble for this."

He even added later on that "my plane could be on fire mid flight I'd still be telling the ref I want team A the next day."

Plenty of other figures including players, casters, and fans have rallied to Mazer's support, condemning SupremeAgility, with calls for blacklisting and bans for the future after doing this again.

What do you think should be done?
