The League of Legends European Championship (LEC) and Championship Series (LCS) - in Europe and North America respectively - have been running for a few months now, and new data from a report by The Esports Observer reveals viewership stats for the competitions.

There's year-on-year growth for the LEC when comparing the Spring Split to last year, averaging 86,100 concurrent viewers on Friday and Saturday on Twitch, with 1.15 million hours watched over the whole weekend. This is an increase from 59,400 concurrent viewers and 710,9000 hours watched in the same week last year.

The LCS managed 111,900 concurrent viewers on Saturday and Sunday, totaling up to 1.4 million hours, and compared to week eight of the Spring Split last year, this gathered 111,900 concurrent viewers too, with 1.3 million in total.

Overall the Riot Games channel had 2.7 million hours watched for the whole week, averaging 61,000 concurrent viewers and a peak of 181,000.
