Esports organiser Gfinity has announced that Unilad Esports has signed up for their Elite Series competition for Season 3, replacing Reason Gaming, and as part of the agreement Unilad will host content from the competition across its social media channels during the eight weeks of competition, starting on March 9.

Unilad has a big presence online, with nine media channels to its name and over 50 million fans, and in their esports space they've got FIFA 18 player Spencer 'Gorilla' Ealing under their wing, who as you'll remember won the FIFA Interactive World Cup all the way back in August 2017, which should bode well for their entry into this £250,000 competition.

"The signing of Unilad Esports sets up the coming season of Elite Series to be our most exciting yet and promises to deliver blockbuster entertainment," said Neville Upton, CEO of Gfinity. "We set out to create a UK tournament that has global appeal and the major teams and players we now have competing would grace any of the major global tournaments."

"We're really excited that Uunilad Esports is joining the roster for the upcoming Gfinity Elite Series. The Gfinity Elite Series is the perfect tournament for our global audience to engage with the best esports content and get more fans involved in the action," added Unilad CEO Liam Harrington. "We look forward to supporting our players over the competition and working with Gfinity."

Do you think Unilad can do well in Season 3 of the Elite Series?
