Esports infrastructure company ReKTGlobal, who if you'll remember have recently acquired esports organisation Rogue not too long ago, and now they've got another big announcement in that they've become the first Agency of Record (AOR) for insurance company State Farm.
While this all sounds pretty dry and not particularly related to the esports world as we know it, what this basically means is that ReKTGlobal will help the financial company to support, grow, and develop the industry, and since esports is still a relatively young industry, this is an important step to ensuring it continues to thrive.
State Farm began its first sponsorship in esports with the North American League of Legends Championship Series, one of the biggest esports leagues in the world right now, which was done under ReKTGlobal's guidance. What's more is that State Farm are also the North American sponsor of the League of Legends World Championship, Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), and All-Star Event too, three huge competitions. The analyst desk will also become the NA LCS State Farm Analyst Desk as part of this deal.
State Farm has sponsored the NBA in the past, as according to the press release they hope to "unite communities of esports fans in the same way they have with traditional sports." Do you think this is a wise deal for State Farm to make?
