Team Vitality has announced that it has signed a partnership deal with the open-source, decentralised blockchain company Tezos, making for a deal that will see Tezos serving as Vitaility's main partner for the next three years.

Revealed in a blog post, the partnership is slated to be Vitality's biggest partnership to date, and will act as a way for the pair to unite and engage Vitality's fans with Tezos' ecosystem, and how to responsibly reap its benefits.

"This is truly a game changing partnership for Vitality, which feels appropriate given 2022 is set to be the biggest year in our history," said Nicolas Maurer, CEO of Team Vitality. "The opportunities Tezos can bring to strengthen the relationship between us and our fans is incredibly exciting, and we're immensely proud to have Tezos join us on this journey."

It's also mentioned in the blog post that while this is the largest partnership deal in Vitality's history, it is also the largest talent investment ever made in esports.

"The decision from Team Vitality to choose the energy-efficient Tezos blockchain as a technical partner is another signal to the established and growing gaming vertical that low gas fees, forkless upgradability, and ease-of-use are the key factors driving the next wave of adoption for blockchain technologies," said Mason Edwards, chief of staff at the Tezos Foundation. "I'm thrilled to see Team Vitality join the Tezos community."
