ESL Premiership (the longest running esports tournament in the UK) has announced that it has partnered with energy drink Beyond NRG. The deal will start as soon as the Spring Season of the ESL Premiership that begins on March 1, and marks the first substantial drinks brand sponsorship for the tournament in its modern era.
"This partnership comes at a time where there's renewed focus on professionalising the health and nutritional options for the industry," said Dan Ellis, Partnerships Director, ESL UK. "From the off, Beyond has approached local esports with an open mind and a fresh enthusiasm to help move these players forward through the path-to-pro system."
The partnership will also see the creation of the Clutch Moments section in ESL Premiership broadcasts that will "highlight the individual excellence of players." Those who watch the broadcast will also be eligible for discounts on Beyond NRG products.

"We can't wait to prove ourselves in the industry as the drink that genuinely helps people compete, whilst putting nutrition at the forefront of gamers minds."
No financial details regarding the partnership have been disclosed as of yet.
