The viewer figures for the Overwatch League Grand Finals 2020 are in, and they are a little sobering. The event, which is regarded as the highlight of competitive Overwatch's year is meant to draw the most attention from fans globally. With the global pandemic resulting in changes to how the League and Grand Finals operate, fans seem to have struggled with interacting with the event.

A report from SportsPro Media details all the statistics, showing that Playoffs to make Grand Finals peaked at approximately 375,000 viewers. The main event however, with unusual broadcast times, and the exclusivity deal on YouTube, peaked at a measly 120,000 viewers, which in comparison is down by 70%.

The numbers do still show a huge interest in competitive Overwatch, but with the potential peaks, you can't help but wonder how much the League is limiting itself with the exclusive streaming rights deal.
