As one or two of you may have noticed by now, the wider world is hunkering down and waiting patiently for the spread of coronavirus to pass, and as a result, the vast majority of events have been cancelled or postponed.
One such event was the Australian Grand Prix, however, McLaren driver Lando Norris still got to race around the Albert Park Circuit as he took part in an online event. In fact, he did so against another prominent sports star, although not a driver, as Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was part of the online race. The event, which you can watch here, was coordinated by Jamie MacLaurin from VeloceEsports.
"We got in touch with Lando and he was really interested," MacLaurin told the BBC. "Both parties were really excited about continuing and not letting the coronavirus affect things as much as it could - and putting a positive spin on what is a negative situation we are all in."
We've also noted plenty of football players heading online to play games like FIFA 20 and Fortnite, and with no sign of business getting back to usual, we're going to see more and more sports stars and celebrities engaging with their audiences online.
