Greta Gerwig成為第一位實現這一壯舉的獨唱女導演。
"Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of GRTV News. We're going to be kicking the week off by talking about the box office because we actually have two billion dollar earners this year now. I know it's been a really unusual year for the box office, there's been a lot of flops, but somehow we've already had two billion dollar earners. The Super Mario Brothers movie kicked it off at the start of the year and now Barbie has joined this very elite company. It is the 53rd movie to ever cross the one billion dollar threshold and yeah, it did it over the weekend. So with that being the case, let's take a look at the news piece. Barbie soars past one billion dollars globally. Life is plastic, it's fantastic."
"It quickly became apparent that Barbie would be a huge success at the box office so it didn't take long before people started talking about how long it would take, not if it would, to cross the one billion dollar milestone. The answer is 17 days. Deadline Variety and the other American outlets with access to the numbers have revealed that Barbie has earned more than 1.03 billion dollars globally. That's nine days faster than the first movie that managed to achieve that milestone this year. The Super Mario Brothers movie, which was the Super Mario Brothers movie, Warner Brothers is definitely begging Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling and crew to make a sequel, spin-off and generally continue the Barbie-verse now, but what do you think? Would you like to see a Barbie 2 or is this a premise only suited for one movie? So yeah, it's tracking better than the Super Mario Brothers movie right now. The Super Mario Brothers movie actually is the highest grossing movie of 2023 so far, sitting at about 1 point, just around 1.5 billion. There's a lot of leeway to what I'm saying there, but it's around the 1.5 billion mark. So, you know, with the way that it's going, we'd expect Barbie to keep catching up with it. Will it eventually crack the 1.5 billion dollar mark and sort of beat the Super Mario Brothers movie? We'll have to see, just have to pay attention to the numbers as it goes. Another thing that's worth talking about when we're talking box office is that Oppenheimer is at the sort of 450 million mark at this moment. It keeps catching up with Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1, which is, the last time I looked, was just a little bit ahead of Oppenheimer. So we'll have to keep an eye on those numbers as we go forward, but the big thing to take from it is that, yes, Barbie has joined Very Elusive Company, is the 53rd billion dollar earner of all time. So congratulations to everyone involved in that movie, it's been a raging success. But yeah, that's all the time we have on today's episode of GRTV News."
"I'll be back now tomorrow with another one here all week, so expect plenty more news and good stuff coming over the coming week. I think we actually have a bunch of different smaller events coming up over the next few days, so expect them to be the sort of focus of the next few GRTV News. We have a Devolver event today, or later today, and then we have the Pokemon Presents tomorrow, so probably expect them to be the focus points as we continue through the month. But yeah, that's all the time we have on today's episode, so thank you for watching, we'll see you all on the next one. Take care, everyone."
