ReKTGlobal, parent company of North American esports organisation Rogue, has announced a Series A funding round of no less than $10.8 million USD, with financing led by Nick Gross. Gross will now join the board at ReKTGlobal, who now has no shortage of investors.

Rogue is entering into the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) this month - with their first match against Misfits taking place tomorrow - and this funding will help the organisation as they expand into this major competition.

"Nick Gross and the investors selected for this round bring incredible expertise and connections in the entertainment world that will help fuel Rogue's international growth as a pro gaming powerhouse with esports superstars, celebrity supporters and a rabid fanbase," said Amish Shah, co-founder of ReKTGlobal.

Rogue already has successful players in Rainbow Six: Siege, FIFA 19, and more, so this is just another step for the team. DJ Steve Aoki has also been an investor for some time, so this latest funding round is continuing to raise the team's profile.
