Team Liquid has signed a multi-year partnership with electronic market maker IMC. The first-of-its-kind deal is set to see IMC's logo on all of Team Liquid's jerseys, and will even see IMC and Liquid run several esports tournaments for universities, host sponsored streams, and charity events.

"At Team Liquid, we look to align with partners that not only share similar values and a love for competitive gaming, but also challenge us to think differently about how we approach things," said Victor Goossens, Founder and Co-CEO of Team Liquid, in a press release. "We'll work closely with IMC, both here in Amsterdam, and globally, to elevate several priority programmes across fan engagement, community relations and events production."

IMC marks Liquid's first partnership with a major financial brand. The collaboration will not only see the two work together to achieve the previously listed objectives, but it will also see the launch of several new activities tailored to engaging fans and building talent. IMC will even help elevate Team Liquid's StarLeague (one of the largest Starcraft competitions) with several segments, features and awards as one of Liquid's partners.

"We are excited about the launch of our partnership with Team Liquid," said Rob Defares, CEO at IMC. "It's great to find an organisation that shares many of our closely-held values of creativity, teamwork, ambition, innovation and competitive drive, and we are very much looking forward to working with them to attract and foster new talent for our high performing teams."

No financial details regarding the partnership have been divulged as of yet.
